I think it is being able to focus your mind like a laser beam while cutting off all possible distractions.

It is a good idea to work on this skill set deliberately.

Can you remember the times when you miss-hit the ball because you let your mind go somewhere else?

Usually it is a longer period of time.

Because once you are putting your concentration aside, you have to build it up first before you can go back to a focused state of mind.

Do you remember the actual thought or incident that led to that state change? If you do, write them down so you can work on that.

Get together with a friend who also wants to work on his mindset or who has some time to support you.

This exercise may seem weird at first, especially if watched from aside, but it is very effective.

Get Started With Swing Man Golf Today

If you get into the pressure cooker first, you are simply trying to work on your game for a couple of minutes.

You can work on whatever interests you most at the moment, e.g. putting. It is the part of your partner to constantly perform nagging behaviour on you.

He can talk to you. He can touch you. He can make noises or play with his keys. Whatever he likes to do. Of course, safety first. Don‘t be silly and jump into a full swing or something.

As long as you are in the pressure cooker you, are not allowed to show any reaction, whatsoever, to your partner. Your goal is to not even flinch.

This can be very hard, so you should change every couple of minutes.

Most importantly have fun with this.

If you do this for some time, you can come up with all kinds of interesting ways to bug the man in the pressure cooker.

Moreover you will feel really armed to deal with normal distractions, when you are on the course next time.

  • Team up with a friend.
  • Take turns nagging each other. Safety first!
