If you want to generate a lot of power like Rory does. Here’s a few key concepts to incorporate into your own swing.:

  • Keep your body behind the ball with a huge shoulder turn.
  • Use aggressive hip action to close the gap towards impact transferring all your weight towards your front leg.
  • Finish balanced and standing tall with your hips towards the target.

If you keep these things in mind you might add some extra yards to your drives. But always check your balance when you try to be as aggressive as Rory is.

It’s easy to get into a swaying motion or falling sideways when turning your hips too fast. If you are capable to end with a balanced finish like Rory does you are on a good way.
