So if you want to learn fast, you have to make a lot of mistakes fast. That can make you feel like a loser.

So did you ever think beforehand, how you want to deal with missed shots in important moments or what you actually want to do when you lose a tournament or do not play to your potential?

I think there is little more frustrating things than underperforming and knowing that you could do better.

But the important part is, how you are talking to yourself. “I definitely have to practice putting to avoid those three putts!” is a lot better than “I just suck at putting. I simply can‘t do it!”

Be positive and suggestoptions to yourself. You have to do this on a regular basis.

Maybe it feels awkward at first, but fake it till you make it. When you fail, you are getting better.

Have a plan and adjust according to your results. When things do not work out like you would like them to, start to think hard as soon as you have a somewhat clear mind.

What things can you do or change immediately to get better results? Always think short-term and long -term at the same time.

You want a solution for now and things you can do to help you avoiding your problem in the future (e.g. using a different club and aiming to the left and working on specific things on the range). Write your thoughts down!

  • Think about how you will handle tough situations on the course
that do not work out for you.
  • Stay positive and write your thoughts down!
