The ten finger grip (baseball grip), the Vardon overlap grip and the interlocking grip.
The funny thing is that almost nobody actually tries all the different grips to see if they work for them.
The usual argument is that no professional player uses a baseball grip and most are using the Vardongrip.
That is true. But it is probably also true that you are not a professional golfer yet.
And I think there are things to be learned here. Another thing people usually do not experiment with is experimenting with a strong, neutral or weak grip.
Strong, neutral and weak are no reference to the grip pressure, but how the hands are positioned on the club.
On a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is light and 10 is tight, I recommend a pressure of 4 to 5. But back to topic.
Today you go to the range and try all different kinds of grips while working on your full swing.
Just try everything out, you do not have to change anything, once you are back on the course.
But maybe you want to change things around after you have tried it. Just hit some balls with every single grip style (ten finger, Vardon and interlocking) gripping the club strong, neutral and weak.
If you have never done this before, you will be surprised how much a grip change influences your ball flight.
Doing this you learn a lot about using your hands and influencing ball flight with your grip and even things you might not have noticed in your swing before.
When I tried the ten finger grip for the first time I was surprised how accurate my iron play suddenly was.
The ten finger grip restrains hand action. This way I learned to use my wrists and hands less during my swing.
You might discover similar things for you.
