You need feedback. One kind of feedback is the ball flight itself.

It tells you right away, how you have hit the ball. Another part is feedback from other players or your local pro.

When you are working on your own, the mirror should become your best friend.

Nearly every golf range has at least one spot with a mirror. This should be your place.

When I started to use the mirror I was hocked to see how off my address actually was. Your feel can be elusive, when you are not seeing what you are doing.

So go to the practice place with the mirror. Maybe you have even one at home that is big enough to use.

Then work on your whole swing one part after the other.

Start with your address position and move on from there.

Try to take it slow and focus on proper technique. First it can be weird looking at yourself while swinging. At least it was for me. But my guess is that you will notice things to improve upon immediately.

You will learn how deceptive your feeling can be and how off you can be from where you want to be.

Make it a habit to practice in front of a mirror regularly and you will improve your technique much faster.

If you want to take it to the next level, you could even put sticky notes on the mirror to mark some fix points for you that you want to keep or pass during your swing.

  • Practice your full swing in front of a mirror.
  • Swing slowly working on your swing step by step.
  • Start with your address position and move on from there.
  • Practice in front of a mirror as often as you can.
